Backup-EZ Privacy Statement
Backup-EZ is committed to protecting your privacy. We use the information that we collect about you to provide the services that you subscribe to, and to occasionally inform you of updates, and other information that is relevant to your usage of the Backup-EZ service. Every employee at Backup-EZ is bound by an employee covenants agreement to comply with this privacy statement.
Information that we collect
We must collect your email address and allow you to select a password in order to provide access to the Backup-EZ system. You may optionally provide your Name, Address, and Telephone numbers. The optional information will only be used to contact you in accordance with this agreement.
Hosted Information
Information hosted on your behalf by Backup-EZ is considered to be private and falls under the policy described in this document. Backup-EZ will not use contact information that we are hosting on your behalf for marketing or any other purposes, except for troubleshooting or to comply with law.
Use of the information
We use your email address and password to verify your identity when you enter the system. We may occasionally contact you to notify you of planned outages, upgrades, updates and other information you will need to use the system.
Backup-EZ may use your information to investigate any suspected violations of the user agreement. In order to provide you with excellent and reliable service, we may occasionally use your information in efforts to investigate errors, problems and other anomalies. We may also use your information to test solutions; however, under no circumstances will your information be made available to other subscribers or unauthorized people without your consent.
Disclosure of information
Backup-EZ does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to anyone, ever.
Backup-EZ may release account information when we believe, in good faith, that such release is reasonably necessary to comply with laws, to enforce or apply the terms of any of our user agreements, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Backup-EZ, our customers and clients, our end-users, or others.
Protection of customer information
Your data that is resident on Backup-EZ servers is protected by a firewall which blocks all access from the internet that is not required for proper functioning and operation of the system. Furthermore, all of the customer data that we collect is protected against unauthorized access by internal security techniques. We use all reasonable efforts and techniques to protect your data from known and unknown attacks by hackers or Trojan horses that may cause your data to be accessed by unauthorized persons or entities.
Use of cookies
Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Our cookies are used only in conjunction with Backup-EZ applications. We do not read any information other than what we write in the course of your using the Backup-EZ website. We store these cookies for your convenience to save settings and preferences between sessions and pages.

Backup-EZ designs its solutions so that customers who do not want cookies stored on their computer's hard disk may continue to use the software.
